Biography of NBA Player Dwight Howard

Not many NBA players are as menacing as Dwight Howard. Standing a monstrous six foot eleven inches tall, Dwight Howard was selected first overall by the Orlando Magic in the 2004 National Basketball Association draft. He has become popular for his arsenal that he brings to the post, and he has played both as a power forward and a center. While many have commended his offensive efforts, Howard has demonstrated superb defensive skills. It soon became certain that Howard possessed the skills to succeed at the professional level.

Not many professional basketball athletes can singlehandedly make an impact for their team. Dwight Howard, however, is an exception to this logic. It is no secret that he has been significantly responsible for the success of the Orlando Magic during his reign with the club. The 2008-2009 season was probably his most notable, as he helped lead the Magic to a third seed in the National Basketball Association playoffs. At a considerably young age, Dwight Howard has reached feats that certain professional basketball athletes do not reach in their whole career. He is the youngest player to win a Defensive Player of the Year award. Furthermore, he is the youngest National Basketball Association superstar to reach 300, 400, and 500 career rebounds. His dominance on the basketball court has earned him the nickname “Superman,” and with a bright future ahead of him he will definitely be one of the most electrifying NBA players in the upcoming years.
